Creator: Gene Roddenberry
Director: Herb Wallerstein

Starring: William Shatner
With: Leonard Nimoy, DeForest Kelley, James Doohan, George Takei, Walter Koenig, Nichelle Nichols

I saw it: on video and TV several times, most recently yesterday (have on DVD)
Synopsis: Kirk is out of phase with reality, space infects with rage, and some aliens spin a web
Concept: Three completely unrelated ideas, not one of which quite makes sense on its own, tossed together without even an attempt at connecting them.
Characters: Huge missed opportunity. I don’t know if Bones is just poorly written, or if he’s supposed to be infected with rage, but either way he doesn’t make sense.
Subjective Rating: 6/10 (Okay, ). There never is any explanation or resolution for… anything. Yeah, they get Kirk back, and find a treatment for the symptoms of space-rabies, but there’s not even a little curiosity about the how or the why of things.
Objective Rating (Average):
